Nice work as usual! Your lucky to have a missus that entertains the idea of going out back, they are a rare breed.

Nice pics as always! And your site has been an awesome place to visit over the last couple of years as I've been getting into ski touring. Best source of info in the one spot for NSW BC IMO.

Awesome pics!

Can i ask a potential dumb question, what happens with you skiing down after the lifts have closed? Is there a point where you are too late? ie pass ramifications? I am thinking of ski patrol sweeps etc....

You buy a one-trip lift ticket to get up the Kosi Express. From memory it's about $25. That's it. No pass to lose.

Thanks guys. Glad you are liking it. If only i could get off my arse and update it.

On saturday evening we passed a whole bunch of patrollers and snowmakers whilst making our way down through thredbo. Noone said a word to us. In the past i have had patrollers pull me up and ask where i had come from - -more because they were thinking they had missed me on thier sweep of the hill. One night i popped out in the middle of the Friday flat fireworks. One minute i having a peaceful ski in the dark and the next a huge bang goes off to my left and i think i've set of a groomer side bomb! I was cold so i high tailed it through the kiddies flare run to get back to the car.

Seeing the two wombats cruising around the supertrail was funny. It's as though they were waiting for all the punters to get off the slopes so they could get out there themselves.

Right so you can lose your pass doing that...

I was thinking of season pass holders or if you did it mid a 5 day lift pass.

from my experience patrol don't worry about people doing BC tours or day trips. as with all BC trips, tell someone (that matters ie friend not going with you, NPWS or police) that you're heading out and when you're expected back and to contact police if you're not back within a margin of error.

Tell them your planned itinerary too, like where you are going, where your likely to camp etc.

No. You use the one-trip pass on the way up. It's useless to you on the way down.

whoops, thought I'd put that in there, obviously just said it to myself and didn't translate to typing it
