I have been told that what area's of Falls Creek that are open have excellent quality of snow, but the locals are waiting on Ruined and Scotts to open before heading up that way, you can only ski drovers and towers so many times before falling asleep in the chairlift.
I am not sure if there is a limit to how many snowguns they can have working at one time, but they would have got a lot more people up there if they had started on those runs a lot earlier, they obviously have the water on hand.

I guess they wanted to cater for the kiddies on skool holidays.
Hope they get more runs open before july 15th ish :) thats when im headed i already pre booked. I thought there would of been a half decent cover of snow by then but its not looking good :S

Many of the the local kiddies around here can ski fairly well, and are waiting for other runs to open. I am hearing Falls creek ski lifts are saying things are unusually quiet up there right now, some feedback for them from this area is make snow on the whole of Sun valley if you can, however if for some reason that is not possible due to air compressor or electricity limitations then not much can be done.

They have been working on Ruined Castle for a while now, I heard they are looking at a shuttle service between Towers base and RC rather than getting Scotts open. I was disapointed that Wombats was open but at the expense of the home trailm makes getting back to the Bowl area very difficult and clearly this is putting a lot more pressure on the village shuttle service (which is very good this year, top points to FCRM).

Looking out the window this year looks very much like 2001 but the snowmaking is much better then then hence people being able to ski.

I will be back whan I can ski to and from the front door.

Oh capacity is restricted by the volume of water that can be pumped from the dam, I believe it is 220 litres per second. The the air capacity which has been bosted significantly in recent years.

I have already seen quite an increase in the people hiring to head up to Falls creek after word got out.

Driving down yesterday there was a constant line of traffic heading up the hill, must be busy up there, I wonder how FCRM handled getting everyone to their lodges.

We need a nice 90cm dump about now to get things going properly, begining to think not buying a season pass this year for the first time in 15 years was a really good move.

Is the shuttle owned by the same person that had it a few years ago?

No Oversnow is closed until there is snow on the roads, Falls Creek Resort Management are driving you back to your lodge once you park (you can drive in town as long as your out in 30 minutes). FCRM is also driving those ariving on buses around town and running the shuttle from the lifts to your lodge (set stops).

They are doing an excellent job of it too, some delays but no charge for the service (its included in the parking fee)
