Hi All

So here is my tip for the day - if you spill (water based) paint on carpet keep it wet - really wet and rent one of those carpet cleaners from Woolies/safeway....

trust me it works... and my whole carpet got a clean :)

Oh and i wasn't even painting - i spilt a can that i hadn't put the lid on properly... so check your paint can lids...

Doing nothing is very tiring.

Three very weary kids still.

Boys are ready to get back to school and use their brains a bit I think (instead of frying mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Today was just spot on weather. I don't know temp, but it was just a delightful day.

Huge batch of awesome meatballs and rich tomato sauce for dinner.

meatball hint, add a grated zuchini, a grated carrot and a chunk of grated parmesan to your standard meatball mix (i.e. veal or pork mince...or both + bread crumbs or mashed potato, dash soy, dash worsestershire, salt, parsley couple of eggs).

hint for sauce - add a dob of brown sugar and a slug of balsamic to the tomato sauce (of course making sure the onions are well caramelised before adding tin of diced tom).

I don't often write down what I do. Which drives Mr legs spare as he never gets the same dish twice and I stuff around with recipes then forget where I got them. But this really worked, worth writing down. Served with huge dollops of mash and an iceberg salad...

and a glass (or three) of Yering station pinot.

Hello all from chilly Osaka.
After witnessing a domestic in the foyer of my unit in sydney, getting the the explosive swipe test at the airport (which also included being frisked), the plane leaving 50 mins late due to some luggage discrepency, I finally made it to Japan and am sitting back in the hotel room chugging down a can of kirin and eating crunky chocolate.
Have fun you all in sunny sydney.
When I get to Myoko later this week, I will see if I can find some internet acess & give you all an idea of what the pow is like.
