Seasons Finishing dates?

I know i shouldnt be thinking about this yet, but why does the MtHothan season end a week earlier than other ski resorts? Is there a good reason for this?

As far as I know Hotham's closing is the same as everyone else, 1st weekend in Oct.

In NSW it is usually the October LWE, in Victoria it is the week before the AFL final. That's why the Vic season is sometimes out of kilter with NSW. Heaven forbid if league was more important in NSW ;)

Why the difference in vic resorts? Maybe FC dont like AFL?
