feeling HOT HOT HOT
Bloody traffic chaos down my way - took ages to get half a km!!!!!
Must have been all the blokes holding up traffic perving at all the bikini clad girls crossing Station Street ;)
The sonographer said 'wow you've done a great job! Just going to go show the radiologist'
Radiologist came in to take a look himself and said 'Gee you've done a great job!'
12 - 15cm tear in the muscle.
I got to take a look at part of my healthy muscle and then the tear, which was pretty cool.
But yeah looks like 6 - 8 weeks out of action which leaves 2 weeks before Canada.

wow, that's a huge tear Tobi! must hurt quite a bit
Freaking KILLED when it happened and for a about an hour afterwards. Like hyperventilating on the ground in pain for about 5 mins.
Was really painful last night but woke up this morning feeling quite good.
It rather sore now but I've been walking around a bit today. Am on the couch with an ice pack at the moment.
Physio is Monday afternoon.

the first part sounds like me and my ankle. a sprain is a tear, so it's going to hurt. Mine was only 2-3cm and my ankle was up like a grapefruit and I was breathing carefully so I didn't throw up, so I can only imagine how much yours would have hurt
If you look after it Tobi, you can recover much quicker. I never had mine looked at through radiology but I know the tear started in my ankle and the last ended behind my knee, couldn't put weight on it for 2 days. Between massage therapy I gently worked Arnicha into it, took Vlotarin when the Brufen ran out and used a heat pack. No alcohol/caffine. Mentally focused on the healing process and encouraging the muscle to mend. I was boarding in 5 days. Useing it so soon slowed the rest of the process and I still have knots in there 15 months later.
