No doubt there will be some Blackadder fans out there somewhere?

was I dreamin, or did Let "The Blood Run Free", always finish with that same very quote? (it seems so long ago)

It always finished with a question for viewers to decide what happened in the next show

"Dr. Lovechild dumps Nurse Effie who climbs to the roof to kill herself. Will Nurse Effie jump?"

"Nurse Effie dies in a tragic accident. Warren Cronkshonk, distraught by Nurse Effie's death, contemplates suicide. Will he kill himself?"

"The wedding of the year as Dr. Good and Nurse Pam Sandwich tie the knot. All goes well until Matron Conniving-Biatch and Bill Schwarzenhameneggenberger the Axe-murderer seek their revenge. Will Matron's bomb explode?"

Amazing concept for a comedy show where the actors didn't know their lines until 2 days before filming.

One of my fave lines...

"Do you like my period costume?"

"You mean you wear that every month?"

or...."Darling Fascist Bully Boy, Give me some more money, you bastard. May the seed of your loin be fruitful in the belly of your woman."

or.....

"We NEVER clean the toilet, Neil! That's what being a student is all about! No way, Harpic! No way, Dot! All that Blue Loo scene is for squares. One thing's for sure, Neil. When Cliff Richard wrote "Wired for Sound", no way was he sitting on a clean lavatory! He was living on the limit, just like me. Where the only place to put bleach is in your hair!"

just found some awesome quotes

I think that says alot about my personality ;)

I rate the Young Ones over The Goodies too. Way too hard for me to pick a favourite though. Faulty Towers and the Vicar of Dibley rate high on my list. I'm also a big fan of Shameless.

Polaris

ah Yes Faulty Towers

Just shows how good both FT's and TYO's were when they are rated so high but only 12 episodes were made of each

Its hard for me to pick a number one.
When it comes to comedy shows.. nothing really beats the British., I loved the Young Ones (Bottom and the Might Might Boosh are in the same category) and Fawlty Towers as well, and for Aussie comedy, Summer Heights High was brilliant. (I said PUCK you miss)
Oh yeah... I still love watching Family Guy... (at least the Americans made good comedies in the cartoon form)
For movies, I still get a good chuckle everytime I watch Meet the Feebles.

The only problem with the Americans is that they try to milk every $ out of it and that kind of takes the shine off them, love Family Guy, Simpsons, Futurama, etc., etc early to mid episodes. I think that's why the british comedies, such as Fawlty, will stay classics.
Summer Heights was good along with his first one We Can Be Heroes!

Team America "World Police", although so politically uncorrect and crude, still cracks me up!

I used to watch The Goodies when I was in Primary school, I couldn't wait to get home to watch it! The Young Ones was my High School favourite, I can still remember us singing Alexei Sayles Tunes, "Pop Up Toaster" and "Ullo, John Got A New Mota"

Dibley and Fawlty are classics!

I've also been enjoying Black Adder and Allo Allo on the GO channel atm. The +1's a bit of a Hogan's Heroes and Greenacres fan. Another British comedy I enjoyed that was aired late at night was Chef with Lenny Henry. So many good TV shows over the years I simply can't narrow it down to 1 only!!!

Ohh.. I forgot about Blackadder as well..
Also, high on my list are those wacky awesome Japanese Game Shows...
Even though, I only understand a bit of what they say, some are so so funny, you just cry because you are laughing so hard.

Have ya been watchin that one on 72 Dig? "I Survived a Japanese Game Show", with the Yanks as the contestants it gets some cheap laughs and is good mindless entertainment!

Nah... in Aust, apart from those shows that are on youtube, I watch copies of the shows on DVD.
My missus is from Nihon & knows where to find the DVD's in Sydney... (Besides, its also handy cause I can't read Kanji, and alot of the titles have Kanji in them)

General Melchett: Is this true, Blackadder? Did Captain Darling pooh-pooh you?
Captain Blackadder: Well, perhaps a little.
General Melchett: Well, then, damn it all! What more evidence do you need? The pooh-poohing alone is a court martial offense!
Captain Blackadder: I can assure you, sir, that the pooh-poohing was purely circumstantial.
General Melchett: Well, I hope so, Blackadder. You know, if there's one thing I've learnt from being in the Army, it's never ignore a pooh-pooh. I knew a Major, who got pooh-poohed, made the mistake of ignoring the pooh-pooh. He pooh-poohed it! Fatal error! 'Cos it turned out all along that the soldier who pooh-poohed him had been pooh-poohing a lot of other officers who pooh-poohed their pooh-poohs. In the end, we had to disband the regiment. Morale totally destroyed... by pooh-pooh!
