So I bought (or Santa did) iPod nanos for the kids then

a) mr legs said no good (like he'd know...) wanted the touch. And

b) goose found them!!! Arrrrrghhh

thinkin I'll have to return them and ...what? Or are they the best value for a kids first gizmo? Or is there a better thing for general distraction on long trips? (they seem to have outgrown their ds...or is it just I don't have enough games for it?)

please please help

my kids have them, the non-custodial Santa bought them ;)

They use them alot, music, videos, long trips, short trips, at home in speakers and without. They watch full length movies on that little screen

Biggest kid now wants an iPod touch, but then he always wants the latest and greatest bit of technology...non-custodial Santa will have to cough up on that one too ;)

I'm thinking Santa might bring me an iPod this year graemlins/cold.gif

iPod nano is a good one the touch is probably more likely to be broken (screen) etc as the cases obviously don't cover the screen since it's touch...... doh Depends why Mr Legs is thinking the touch

I've got the nano that can watch video and shake, but doesn't have the camera, so think it's the one before the current ones. Love it!

You definitely can't go wrong with the Nano. It will keep the kids quiet for hours, besides if anyone else wants to give the kids something and they are stuck for ideas the accessories are endless like clock radios with docking stations
