ok, so with only (counts on fingers) 12 days til the big four oh!! I have started a get fit campaign today. Granted a little late, but there was christmas, preceeded by two months with no kitchen and a lot of take away! and as they say "better late than never!"

Weighing in at the most I've ever weighed 63.65kilos (which doesn't sound like much to a ...taller person I know, but for a cough cough shortie, IT IS!!).

The day started well with nuts and a protein shake and an hour at the gym.

Tuna salad for lunch

all going well but who was kidding herself when she thought she could bake for friends all afternoon and not partake of plum and cardamom shortcake, SnoWhites ginger and mint cordial in soda and hazelnut lintz biscuits filled with cherry jam and double cream (they were good and I will make them again).

Walked the dog (briskly)

Lean beef rissoles and salad for dinner (eyeing kids burgers enviously but resisted!).

peppermint tea and just one more lintz biccie and a sliver of plum cake...

ah well...tomorrow is another day

From one 'cough cough shortie' to another - try another, oh let's say 10 kgs before you think you are fat!

or consider this alternative Legs......

don't worry about it, don't think about it and don't do anything about it and ENJOY the upcoming milestone.
I'm sure Mr Legs and the Legette's will give you just a good a birthday if you top the scales at 63 or 53kg's

[/end sensible and practical male thinking] ;)

ok X, you got choccie there?

today:

pumpkin seeds and almonds and protein shake for breaky

morning tea: fresh air and a green t

lunch: salad no dressing and decaf short black (which was truly disgusting)

afternoon tea: small CHUNK of plum and cardamom cake and last lintz biccie (it had to be dealt with)

green t

Dinner: Lean lamb backstrab w mustard and balsamic glaze, steamed veg and small mouthfull of mash (because I make yummy mash and the kids aren't dieting).

now: longing looks at club mildly dark choccy to melt with peppermint t.

Might go beddie bye bye

too sore to excrecise today after gym yesterday, but I'm sure my muscles are still working on some level, if only to cope with the pain they are in!

Pol, Mr Legs agrees entirely, but my vanity don't :ninja:

That's a very strict regime legs! more fruit for you and a oil based dressing is ok, or even balsamic is ok in such a strict diet.

have a piece of the choccy or you'll blow out totally

Just proves Mr Legs is right then ;)

Seriously, WTF would you expect to "lose" in 12 days? 2-4 kgs maybe?

63kgs ain't overweight let alone obese so just tell your vanity to disappear for a fortnight and enjoy the milestone.:)

If I had my time over I would .....

1. Not worry about the "milestone" to start with
and 2. have a bigger party than I did

I hope you get my drift ;)
