yessss, always a lovely day to be bundling the kids into cozy cars on the school drop off zone for half an hour just as the rain REALLY HITS....while my boys whoop and gallop around the playground in the rain.
I'm off for a warm shower while they devour the batch of smartie biscuits I just pulled out of the oven before heading out to race leaves in the gutter no doubt.
YES! I am an awesome mum and they are bloody lucky to have me and they have an excellent life!!!

I'd like some down this way please.
Garden is in serious need of a drink.
Also like some more water in Lake Eildon for when I go over Easter - only at 13% apparently at the moment

at least if the power goes out tonight I dont have to walk back up 21 levels to get my key cars like yesterday (was at a meeting on the ground floor graemlins/big_laugh.gif ). At least I made it to the pub for a few before the cold beer ran out!

A couple of drainers decided to blow the top of the tower next to me yesterday and now approximately 85 apartments cannot be lived in. Scared the hell out of me when it happened, 17 storeys up and you think your apartment is about to collapse into a pile of rubble.
And contrary to some media reports, occupants have not been let back in (only to collect essentials) as there will be no lifts, water or sewerage at least for a couple of days. People on the top three floors will be luck to get back in for a month (listening to building manager explaining to a couple about structural and water damage).
Talking to some friends tonight in Coffs Harbour. Today has suked for them. Rain to the back steps (4m above the creek), fences and sheds gone, tennis court and very large pool inundated.
In addition landslides all round from the banana plantations, road cut in all directions. He has his 90 year old mum living with him and wife can't get home. Mum was really scared today and fell down the stairs and injured herself but he can't get her out unless it's serious.
Hope the rain backs off.

Hmm I love seeing it rain too esp in my area as its the major catchment of sydney (warragamba dam)
But it needs to stop for a few days so the fields will dry out so I can play soccer on the weekend its the last game before 2 week easter break, then it can rain as much as it wants
