As the subject reads I'm looking for a two person tent, all camping will be below the snow line i.e. mansfeild, Mt Beauty (Falls Creek).
I'm thinking around the $300-$350 price range or am I kiding myself.
Also any suggestions for sleeping bags, sleeping mats etc.

Go for a Kathmandu tent at sale time, or give teckel a call and see what she has.

A shame your not in Syd as I was just in the city Macpac store and there was a really good 2 man tent looked 4 season for $250 from $500.
So if anyone in Syd and is after a good cheap tent theres one.

I saw that one yesterday Mic, was that the fairydown one?
Looked pretty spacious and stable, not what I was looking for (as I wanted a bit sturdier for above snow line), but yeh, well worth a look Marshall.

Well, I did it..
I finally bought my tent...
it's an exped Aeries mesh...
check it out here ->

I specifically bought this '3 season' tent because it's cheaper, still durable, is REALLY fast and easy to put up even in bad weather/darkness and still going to withstand a ton of weather. I still expect to use it above the treeline... but i'll be mainly using it for summertime hikes.
There's nothing a good snow wall can't fix, hehe.
