Don't know if this has been done before

There seems to be a few of us around.

I reckon we have to have at least a Day Trip Splitboard Session

We can then check everyones gear, share tips and technique (ie show me how to do it) and finish the day off with a beverage somewhere.

What do you think peeps??

Date: 27/28th of September (numbers depending)
Location: Dead Horse Gap Car Park
Time: 7:30 am ish for 8am kick off
Day Trips/camp?? - register your interest in both

weather dependent of course

All others welcome of course (skiers, snowshoers)

Cheers

Caboose

Attendees

Caboose (either dates)
ians 158 (either dates)
telecrag (either dates)
Kaz

Maybe

How cool, it is about time the split boards showed their faces!

I'm a skier but I think it is one of the better inventions.

Do you have skins too?

I could be already busy on the mountain and end up there at the end of the day.

Hope SDJ is taking note.

yepo got skins - everything was ready to go as of last weekend last year then i sprained my foot

and SDJ has already agreed that snowshoeing in soft snow ****s the big one

If you wanna convert to skiing, you gotta buy skis, can't just saw a board up the middle and expect them to ride well!

1) my cut

2) weight of the board

also i was having issues with my binding base plate screws loosening during skinning etc etc

will work on it this weekend and test 13/14 and see how it goes

I will keep an eye out for all of you, rivers are raging, so keep away from them.

If you are camping, go up to the rocks halfway down DHG run, really nice there and some solid ground is open in the trees. Otherwise, second carpark up, cross road, go up towards South Ramshead, there is a flat section there that would be ideal - easy gradient for first time split boarders to skin up. Good for a picnic too!

Hey BooBoo, I think it is time for a Ppiiicnicc!

Oh Yogi!

Nice to see you guys and gals this morning, even if I was in a rush for the car shuttle.

Boy oh boy, I hope you found some nice stuff, wind was blowing a bit and the ski down from Ramshead to Bogong to DHG was fun!

DONT EAT BROWN SNOW, saw some kids today playing and eating the snow. Yucckkky!
