I'd be in, so long as it's closer to Sping, gives me the chance to get some more gear for O'nighters

Spring and I will be there. I have to get my G3 skis first, I have the bindings and skins already, as well as all the camping stuff.
I know a guy who works in a ski shop where I can get a discount. ;)
Spring might work for me too.

The G3 Baron is very sweet looking ski (but you know that already). The Ace would be sweeter as it is the same dimentions as the Baron, but 450g lighter.
Will report back on the Baron when I have had a slide.

I've skiied the Baron's for 3 seasons in aus and 5 seasons if you include OS jaunts.
Amazing ski, really really good quiver of one ski that has stepped up to everything I've skiied, from the crud and ice we get here to 4 days in Japan BC with over-the-head, light as dust Pow.
Can't recommend them highly enough, Paul Parker is a genius.
oh, PS, I'd be up for a meet-up weekend at some stage, date dependent of course.

Thanks for that feedback Simo_tele. Now I'm really looking forward to taking them out. Only dilema now is choosing which skis to take down with me.

I'm going to admit that I'm a tele skiier...somewhat of a conservation orientated guy...bit of a ski bum...and I can't grow a beard, therefore I shall never be accepted by by BC bretheren.

I'll join your bc trip if it's in Vic and can make it, mod winter don't phase me as long as there's heaps of snow

As long as I can afford a lift pass, you will not catch me hiking in Aus.

To quote Scott Schmidt (one of skiing's legends):
"I avoid ski resorts at all costs because they are cut up, rutted out and covered in bumps. Natural terrain is so much better on the body."
I would have though someone who styles himself/herself 'powderhog' would love headin bc occasionally to plunder the pow: it's always best in the bc
Bro I too have my season pass and hit the resort most days in the season, but crew here at Hotham love gettin out occasionally for freshies, and dude .. you're postin on the backcountry forum ...
