It was a mixed trip actually

A few of my friends were in 1st timer lessons and we were at smigs most mornings, then on the tuesday when was meant to meet at mid station my friend fell and broke her wrist at the start of the lesson so ended up not boarding much that day and went to the doctors to get x-rays and was a complete ride off day, then wed was my bday and well thurs was a POW day couldnt have asked for a better bday present

Yep anything goes in Jindy...

I usually take one pair of jeans, and only one pair of shoes for when i am off the snow.

But i will put on makeup to even out the skin tone (wind or sunburn damage).

I sent you a link to some pic from last year so you can see what we wore. In my opinion my friends were a little over dressed, But in my younger days I went out in Jindy in a mini skirt mid winter and that night i think it actually snowed down in jindy graemlins/cold.gif graemlins/outtahere.gif

I have had recurring dreams (nightmares?) about the conditions for the Slide and my week there afterwards.

I hope that all will be OK cos it's my first time at Perisher and......weeeeeeelll........ I want it to be memorable :D

If anything at least I will have the rest of the week to recover from the Fri and Sat night

Just washed all my gear ready for packing next week - don't think I'll need the puffy/down jacket I have been wearing this season so far!

it did rain, but it also turned to snow then stopped so the overnight falls only show small amounts. Perisher's forecast for today was dusting on firm top layer on a wet bottom layer.....?

It was a dusting on solid ice!!!!

It started snowing about 4pm, then it cleared up and got super cold... so all the wet old snow is now solid ice.

The groomers did a great job I had a ball today, although there was some interesting sections of solid ice on Mt P from the wind blowing all the fresh off.

not solid ice. it is a crust. the groomers couldnt start work until very early this morningand they couldnt use the tillers otherwise they would break through and start sinking into the soft stuff

I am not 100% sure if I will make it up the mountain by 10 am on Sunday as heading to the Ministry of sound event on at the station on sat night and i may have a sore head come Sunday.

This weekend is great to catch up with old and new friends! Hope to put faces to names and have a great time exploring Perisher.

Most folk will be staying in Jindy, I am happy to car pool if needed

Fri night at the Banjo for a cleansing ale or 2 and Sat night is at the Brumby Bar for a feed and a million beers graemlins/cold.gif

We meet on the hill at 10am in time for el cheapo hot chocolate at mid station and take it from there. Lunch seemed to work well at Guthega Pub last year, so I reckon we hit the pub up again this year smile.gif

For those with UHF's, bring them along as the banter can be fun ;)
