Morning.
Morning.
Day off - Trailburner sick, but feel fuzzy headed myself, nothing a day of DVD's and obsessing over snow holidays can't fix, I hope.

Morning all..
Podlette, have you tried slicing lemons and boiling them in water and then drinking the water mixed with a little bit of honey? Mum used to do that for me and it worked wonders.

snowbunny - we've always done a similar thing, not boiling the lemons though, we squeeze a lemon into a cup pour boiling water over it with some honey.

Or you could always try stinky, foul tasting Chinese medicine. I hate that stuff, but I swear by it.
When I used to have a bad flu, my mum used to give me this white powder (no, it's not coke tongue.gif ) and mix it with sugar and a bit of water. Then she'd cover me in blankets and made me sweat it out and I swear the next day I was good as new!! :D

hello all, seeing the snow is just around the corner I thought I should start lurking around here again...
Hope everyone had a good summer break...
I shot off over to Japan for a quick last minute ski-trip.
I also managed to get a couple of runs in at Baw Baw a few weeks ago
now...back to what I do best....lurking

hehe fingers faster than brain ;)
got takeaway cause it was my turn to cook..
I just paid for the first of 4 weeks accom in 2011 in Tahoe. $US597 for 7 nights in 2011 is half what I pay now per night for a club family room at Mt Buller in 2009 so I reckon that's good value. Of course, now that I grabbed the $A at arounf 78c mark, the $A will rise. C'est la vie :D

Its easy! Plan ahead: there are $85US a night motels in towns wherever you want to go, eg Super8 motels. or package deals on skilaketahoe.com for Casino hotel rooms + cars + flights from LAX. Look for early bird season passes in April: mine work out at $25 a day off the day tix rate for even a mere 6 days at that resort. grab Heavenly passes atm (unless sold out) for $US329 or wait til June-Oct for the skilaketahoe.com 6-pak that costs you aroiund $us45 a day for 6 days at up to 7 resorts. Or the Epic Pass. grab cheap air fares when they arise. Bo9ok and pay in full when the $A is high. Share the hotel and car with a pal. Get the car thru a crowd with all the insurances, eg vaustralia's website has cars with all the insurances. Easy peasy. And just ask dad for one of those Mastercard thingies for 'emergencies' like food and wine. And get the visa waiver pre-authorisation for entry ;)
Simple and cheap.
