I don't have much time so I will keep it short. I have been at Jackson Hole since late november and leave in about 3 weeks. The snow has been pretty consistant as we were unfortuantly seen by a large high pressure system in the past couple weeks which has baked alot of the snow making it hard pack and creating an icy layer ontop of the powder. After soon realising that 78mm underfoot dosent cut it in powder i was forced to purchase a powder ski. I bought a ski called blizzard big akira which are about 105 underfoot and are easily the best ski i have ever had. They are incredibly soft and easy to ski. I have already had some close calls and pay tribute to my helmet which saved my life, after falling of a drop and landing head first on a jaggerd rock. The snow here is nothign like i have ever seen, most days I have been skiing knee to waist deep snow which is unbelievable. On boxing day in snowed nearly one metre which is incredible considering how much we get in aus. I will upload photos when i get back to aus, and post a more detailed report.

Glad to see you made it to Jackson, Hackett. I remembeer you had a dream and feared it'd go pear shaped. Get info on an instructor's ticket for 09 in Aus and 09/10 at Jackson: if you can ski Thredbo Thaw you can ski almost anywhere. :D
