or not...
OK OK so the base is a bit thin at the bottom. Would still be top to bottom at some resorts here in Aus. ;)

This is a good (accurate) site for weather in Hakuba. Even though it is in Japanese.

Only 19 days and 7 hours to go, but who is counting. ;)
30-40 cm overnight in the village and it looks like it has been snowing all day as well. Not that I'm paying much attention. ;)

I should be getting an "on the ground" report from happ from a mate in the next 24 hours. All I know is I'd rather be sking than be @ work!

I don't think there will be much sleep in our house tonight.
Flight tomorrow morning to Osaka and then on to Hakuba.
Will probably check the forecast a dozen times between now and then as well.
Very jealous Shorty. Still 20 days for me. :(
But then again 20 dtg. :D
Looking very nice today. Blue bird day.

tuesdays report.... graemlins/big_laugh.gif
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Cloudy and cold all through yesterday...light snow was falling up the top above the Happo gondola station but not enough to leave more than a dusting, most of which would have got blown away by roaring Aussies roaming the streets last night in celebration of their national ****-up day. Some snow fell overnight and Goryu are reporting 5cms of fresh. The snow in general at Happo yesterday was super icy, hard and unforgiving - don't let the dust on top fool you. The forecast was for this snow to stop sometime this afternoon and that we can expect cold temps & sunny skies tomorrow, warming on Thursday. No strong winds today either.
