Howdy,

Well as I said in my intro post I had to buy some gear for the coming season so that I could work on my skiing before going OS again =] Hoping to get well out of beginner runs and move onto intermediate stuff (I got trapped on beginner runs at Happo one cause the only way down from the harder runs was via a super long cat track. Since this was my first experience skiing and I am scared of heights I only made that trip once ;p)

I purchased these booties
Dalbello Raya 7, the white and purple ones (super comfy)

and Dynastar Exclusive Active skis

Link to skis (http://www.dynastar.com/product.php?id_seg=&id_product=577&id_dyn_category=2&id_dyn_segment=92&acturub=1)

I was wondering is anyone had used either and if they liked them or not

Probably a bit late to ask now since I have bought them ;p but just curious. =]

Ski's look noice....
I think boots are the most important part of your gear:
The main thing with the boots is that they fit properly and are not uncomfortable.
I hear of so many stories of people that try on a pair of boots for 1 min, then buy them...when they get to the hill they are complaining of pain by lunchtime.

What a lot of people do is start wearing thier boots around the house now...this will show up any problems of wearing for long periods of time.
Remember that you will be wearing them for 6-8 hours a day on the snow, and this is very different than to a couple of minutes in the shop.
If you find they are uncomfortable to the point of pain..get them fixed ASAP...sometimes its just a small minor adjustment that makes all the difference..not only to the comfort, but also how you ski.

Hopefully the shop you bought them from offers a bootfit garuntee (spell), which means you can take them back to get adjustments made until they are like a pair of slippers!!!
Good bootfitters come accross all sorts of problems with feet- no two feet are the same- and work with you to make sure you are comfy and getting the most from your investment.

Advice...if you get pain, try and pinpoint where the pain is and what movement causes it, this will help the bootfitter pinpoint what the cause is.
I had pain in my old boots and pushed on for a week, this caused damage to my foot that took 3 weeks to heal, so my advice is if the pain is constant, stop and get the boots looked at.

Congrats of your purchase.
