Snowboard tuning and waxing

I just bought a new snowboard, and am really interested in keeping it tip-top (as you can understand).

Anyway, I would like to wax and tune the board myself, but I don't really know where to begin, as written articles about the matter only go so far.

I'm just wondering if I would be able to sit in on someone (preferably who does it as a job, in or around Sydney) tune and wax a board.

How much should a do-it-yourself tuning and waxing kit cost?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDRoKCAFtX8&mode=related&search= That video has a few minor problems, one is the advice to loosen the bindings, it makes no difference and just wastes time, the other is it shows the guy using a stone on the edges to remove a burr and he is using it at around 45 degrees to the edge which would really de tune a board, in my opinion a file guide should always be used even for a deburring stone, unless sharpe edges are not important, apart from that it looks pretty good, I think his Bakoda iron was not up to the task either, it appeared to be doing it hard just to melt the wax dripped onto the base, most likely a warmer workshop would help there.

i think it was Transworld snowboarding which had some awesome tutes on DIY maintenance, but on looking at their site i cant find it... i'll have a look around the 'nerd and get back to you.
