Elan magfire 12's

So I have a pair of last years Magfire 12's - not the green ones but the last model - orange with the waveflex technology .

A great pair of ski's that served me very well when overseas in the US in Feb. They were plenty wide enough underfoot for the Utah powder, and great on the packed powder at Jackson Hole

My question is: does anybody know what the edge angles are on them?

The answer will vary depending on who you talk too, and may also be different to what works well.

Modern thinking is seeing base angles be closer to 0 degrees, now that drag lifts are rare(except at Perisher).
0 degrees gives quicker edge to edge times, and seeing as how most skiers are on an edge almost all the time a 1 degree base bevel is no longer needed.

Side edge on Elan I have measured a lot at 2 and also 3 degrees, most good wood core skis will benefit from 3 degrees anyway, as the core will support the pressure the edge builds up and give a stronger edge hold, your foam core skis tend to still have 1 - 2 degree edge bevel as any more would only see the ski twist along the longitudinal axis due to the nonsupporting core.
Ski tuners using Winterstieger machinery will continue to put a 1 degree or more base bevel as that is the way Winterstieger must do it due to the softer stones, but those with a Montana machine may or may not depending on the end user.
I have not bothered with a base bevel on my own skis for the past few seasons and prefer it that way now.
Sorry if it gets technical, I kept it as simple as I could.

Basic short / answer, use 3 degree side edge and 0 to 1 degree base edge angle.

Thanks for that info.....will get out the angle grinder this weekend.
I do have the equipment to do this....got it all from Paul last year!!!
