Ok so I may not be as unbreakable as I used to be, and after doing the ribs and shoulder in Japow, perhaps I need some upper body protection as well as the lower body protection.
Any hints on which one to look for.. gotta suit the female form....

Go to a motor cross shop and look for a pressure suit. Dainese, 686 are a couple of brands that come to mind. You can detach the bits you dont want.

If Jacqui Cooper retires, go to the garage sale.

Ahh, I can't really see Tambo following Jacqui's footsteps.... :D

Snow Princess has just about grown out of her Dainese Gladiator Jacket (I think that's it's name).

I have no idea what size you are, but if you are a small female... perhaps???

I have been thinking about getting some protection for the slopes. But all too cumbersome.

But saw this and thought might be the way to go. What do you guys think.

Saw it somewhere about a beanie that acts like a helnmet

I just checked out that Spyder Freestyle... but it doesn't have enough info.

I'm guessing it's pretty $$$??? Though Dainese isn't exactly cheap. I like being able to see that it is going to stop me getting hurt... having to trust it might be a bit weird.

Tambo if you are down this way and you want to try it on, let me know. I suspect it might be a bit small but they stretch a lot.

I'm looking at an Alpinestars Stella Women's Bionic Jacket for Snow Princess. http://www.bikebiz.com.au/contents/media/astar-stellabionic.jpg

Thanks BJ, will be around Jindy?thredders in a couple of weeks...but that pic looks fabulous! Will check it out. The $ are a lot less important than the pain! (and time off work!)
Thanks smile.gif

Fyi, There's an ad today in the Herald Sun for a Easter special $45 shoulder pad guard (with a breast plate) which doesn't look as medieval as moto-cross stuff on ebay.
