Most meals in America you can share with a few mates.

In my experience, yank burgers are inferior to what is dished up at some take-aways here in Oz. There may be exceptions, but I haven't had them.

The burgers over there in a lot of places were awful. We went to a roadhouse and got kiddie burgers for the kids and it was just a meat pattie on bread - no salad, no cheese and no sauce...

The Schnitzel Haus in Gladesville does a Schnitzel challenge.
1kg schnitzel plus a mountain of chips. A litre of beer and a shot of scnhapps.
The winner gets free dessert!!! graemlins/big_laugh.gif

I went back to ask whether we needed to order salad or where it was, and the reply...... "the condiments are past the registers" Yep, salad was considered a condiment, we got to root around in lettuce and tomato and onion with everyone else while the patty and bun went cold.

I think I had them twice!!! Once in Calgary when we arrived and once in Vernon for a fundraising thing.
Maccas are so slack, they donate what, one dollar from each big mac on McHappy Day??? Well in the Thompson-Okanagan Wendy's, they donated every cent they made on the day and the staff all donated their wages. They made something like $75,000 on the day!!! It was at the end of January, to raise money to take sick kids to Disneyland.

I have to say though that most of their 'Chicken Sandwiches' were delicious, I stayed away from the hamburger/cheese burgers
They actually make great caesar salads over there to, all the ones I had where made fresh (mixed up when you ordered it) not sitting in a container getting soggy, they were just a little large, i am sure most contained a whole lettuce ;p
