I believe the AC40 has a softer flex, last years AC3 and AC4 were very stiff skis

The Karma/Bridge of the Volkls would be a better spring/powder ski. The Goat (Gotama) is a better powder ski. Remember an all mountain ski is average at most things and not usually particularly good and any one thing.

BTW chook pilot are you being unfaithful (http://www.snowatch.com.au/forum/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=005193)?
Try the search function there, it is pretty good. Also look for comments by Max Capacity, he know the Volkl skis pretty well. Just remember its the end of summer, so things are quites at epic ATM.
