Hi pros..

Just wondering if you guys have any advise on 'running in' a brand new snowboard?

I just bought a new snowboard and the shop assistant waxed it without shaving any of the excess wax off. He advises that I should snowboard on this 'rough' wax, and then have it waxed again after a few days.

Does anyone else share this view?

You do not need to run in a snowboard, they do not have motors!

just run on up there and go for it , if you want to get rid of the excess wax you should use a plastic scraper, ref to paul to purchase one of these.
cheers.

Yeah just scrape that wax off and go for it. If your worried about catching edges then detune the contact points on each end.
