Back on the Tarmac again today, PP in tow - no +1, she's in The Gong setting up for tomorrows Alice in Wonderland themed, 6th b'day party. Going crazy trying to get away. Was trying to find PPs clothes just found out +1 took them yesterday.

Morning all.
Is this going to degenerate into a "I've got a bigger club than you" thing?
"here's me with my club out"
if so I'm off to make popcorn and watch. I do love a bit of club envy.
Sweltering at the pool (drinking boiled soy milk with not coffee) while the girls wallow in urine infested waters with spit floaties and chlorine fumes.

There are atleast 6 better courses on the sandbelt than huntingdale ;)

You'll have to show me the 6 better courses one day :D
The 18th green at Huntingdale was blardy frightening when it was set for The Masters

hey everyone....
today is definitely not my day...
As I'm on call, I was woken at 03:00, and 05:00, whilst having to still come into work on time (or more accurately, 30 mins before work starts)... on top of that, I seemed to hit a brick wall about 2 hours ago, which I can't shake off with any amount of coffee or V... then on top of that, I have a work function to attend straight after work...
*sigh*... there goes my early night...
let's hope tomorrow is a better day.
(at the very least, I get to hand over the critical fault on-call phone to another colleague tomorrow)
I hope everyone is having a better day than I am...
*disclaimer*: I'm not bitter about today, just fatigued and lethargic.

The 18th green at Huntingdale was blardy frightening when it was set for The Masters  yeah right I am only a member at one of those 6 better courses.
and your lack of belief in me means you won't even be getting a game at that course!

If it makes you feel any better I got our on call phone and laptop handed to me today.
The girl who was on call wasn't even in the office today and made a trip into town to drop it off.

OK I don't understand what you are saying Slip so to clarify....
1. I don't go to Melbourne often so I class Mornington as close enough to Melbourne AFAIAC ;)
I would like to play all the sand belt courses if I got the chance :D
I played Huntingdale one year the day after the Masters (Monday) and the 18th green was putting on steel trowel finished concrete  (plus the dudes dropping the scaffolding were having their own little fun game banging and crashing things as you putted)

for some reason you don't believe that i'm as good as Tiger Woods and that dissapoints me tongue.gif
Mornington Peninsula golf courses are completely different designs to the sandbelt courses, so they give a different experience.
Sandbelt is known for his rock hard greens, most courses in summer you can't even pull up a wedge.
Sandbelt courses i'd rate ahead of Huntingdale:
1. Kingston Heath
2. Royal Melb West
3. Metropolitan
4. Victoria
4. Commonwealth
5. Woodlands
6. Royal Melb East
7. Yarra Yarra
8. Huntingdale
