Mt Buller's website says it will stay open until 4th October with 3 lifts operating. Blue bullet, Holden express and Wombat chairs will remain open.

Or if they have a ski guarantee it probably keeps that going to avoid refunds? Not sure if they do though.

Hey skimax. Glad you had a good one. Was pretty damn fine up here too!
We arrived and fitted chains at the tollgate.
Lil Vet's friend has never seen snow before ... what a sight for a first timer. Picture postcard perfect views for her.
CSIR was impassable so we were parked at the Rink.
There was only one taxi on the mountain and it couldn't get us to within 300 yards of the lodge and we (I) carted all the gear by hand to the lodge where we had the pick of the rooms.
Georges fitted up Lil Vet's friend with some gear and off we went to Bourke Street. The hardpacked pow was the stuff you go o/s for. LBS was awesome, and empty.
Ended up at Apres Bar chatting to an instructor from Squaw whom we'll meet up over there. A few of our regular die hards turned up and later that might we tried to get the shuttle to the lodge ... but there was none. (The taxi was playing shuttle bus as well driving people from the carpark).
Turns out the RMB expected 'last cabs' at 1pm Saturday even though the mountain was to be open on Sunday. How the heck would people with bags etc get back to their cars?
Anyway, we'll do a day trip before the weekend.
