I took my 2 sons up to Falls Creek yesterday for a first day of the season run.
The snow was quite good, sure there are a few twigs poking through on some of the places we went, but we tend to venture off the main runs at times, the 3 of us all had new skis and didn't get any base damage at all.
The main runs that are open and groomed are in very good condition with plenty of snow.
Being school holidays the car parks were full, but the lift ques were not bad, the longest wait was about 5 minutes.
I must congratulate the lift company for having a single que at Falls Creek express as well as staff to manage people into groups of 4, well done.
The lifties are quite friendly and I noticed very helpful with getting little ones onto the lifts, with the sun shinning and virtually no wind, it was a great day.
