Pulling your tower apart is really a 30 sec job......saves you downloading anything or wasting time.....sorry SDJ smile.gif

If it was a mac, it'd tell you smile.gif hehe

if it's a branded computer like Dell, you should be able to look up the service tag and find out what was preinstalled at time of purchase.

with XP and previous versions you could go into device manager and look up what the hardware brands and types were IIRC

Yeah, if it was a mac go up to the apple or into system prefs tongue.gif

Just open the box and get it out SDJ. That will save you doing just that when you get back with your new ram ;)

Yep it has to be the same if you're mixing it., but I guess if you add 2 x 512 then you'll end up with 2 gig total

See what your motherboard supports, might be cheaper to buy 4 x 1Gb ! or even 2x2 :D
