stupidly though, they aren't targeted at the individual user accounts, but the 2 general accounts in the school's name.
Of course even dumber is DET hasn't used CBA since 2002

PayPal Security Team Yes, I've got that one probably twice??? I actually thought it was legit, but I hate PayPal so there was not way I was going to do anything about it anyway. I certainly wasn't going to click on any links in an e-mail.

I ended up having to do it (update), but that was when I was logged into PayPal already and I changed all my passwords and crap like that first.

I still hate PayPal but I had to use it once in Canada last year for a place I bought stuff that wouldn't accept AUS address on credit cards :(

CBA have been getting a lot of these. We have warnings in netbank and on the website to ignore these. The confirmation check for transfers is done in netbank when you select transfer. We don't send you notice to check it later.

Unfortunately some have fallen to this scam. I mean really...some people need some common sense.

I've had heaps of the commonwealth ones, but I'd never take them seriously as I've had way too many from banks I've never even heard of!!! graemlins/big_laugh.gif

BTW, the reason I thought the PayPal one might have been legit (but still didn't do it) was that it said my CC details had been refused by the bank, and they actually had as I'd used an expired CC without realising, then changed it to a new CC when it wouldn't work.
