Headed off Friday 28th august for our first ever trip to Perisher. I have only ever boarded at Hotham and once at Buller before, so I was looking forward to something different. I had heard a lot about Perisher and needed to see for myself.
The trip took most of the day and we finally arrived at Jindy about 3pm and spent the rest of the afternoon checking out the many snowsports stores - there are just soooooo many!!!!
That night caught up with some fellow Snowatchers for the first time and had an excellent evening
Saturday morning was first day on the snow so decided to get up super early and arrive at Perisher well before first lifts and almost managed first row in the car park.
Weather was raining and visibility poor as we sipped on coffee before the other Snowatchers arrived. When we stepped out the rain cleared which was great.
Mostly we cruised around front Valley, Pretty Valley and Leichardt T I think - vis was still pretty bad so I did not have a clue where I was. Morning tea at Mid Station a few more slides and we were back there for a Sav Blanc about noon. That's when we decided to head out to Mt.P and take on the thunder and lightning - whilst trying to 'get the hell out of there' on the Eyre T-Bar that's when we were hit by the lightning causing the lift to cease and us to pick up our skis/board and walk on out.

Sat night was fun - but you have all seen and heard so I won't go into it again :D
Sunday we had to move from Jindy to Smiggins so it was a late start for me and I did not get out until lunch time and missed the second day of the Slide. I spent the day by mysleft exploring Pretty Valley and Interceptor areas which would prove to be my favourites almost

Monday conditions were excellent and once again we were out exploring mainly Pretty Valley and Interceptor. It was snowing for a lot of the day
Tuesday we headed over to Guthega with some friends - it took us quite a while to get there as we did a few runs up and down Pretty Valley and Pleasant Valley. Once at Guthega I did a couple of runs on Schnaxl and Bloody Mary. Snow conditions weren't that great and it was rather patchy but the pub was good .

Wednesday was out earlyt in the morning over to Mt.P to get some pretty fast turns on Towers (my favourite run) and many of the other runbs over there and around Sun Valley T. was a great morning.

That afternoon my buddies went back and I decided to head somewhere different and chose the Ridge Chair area - bad mistake. I went down Roller Coaster and it was worse than Slalom Gully at Hotham on a bad day - slushy and lots of big moguls. Needless to sat I did not do any runs from Ridge Chair but headed over to Blue Cow and did a few laps of Side Saddle and Zali's
