That was our favourite spot on the mountain for a sit down and a little something - loved the spot, the cuteness of the cafe and the music.

Had a hotdog there yesterday and thought I'd regret my choice, but it was surprisingly good.

it has everything to do with skiing, it's at the base of one of the chairs and a popular spot to stop for a wee break. Bit serious there powder emperor!

It's a great hot chocolate!

Shame we're not all as core as Powder Emperor!

Actually I thought the hot choc was just normal. The presentation is the best on the mountain.

Nothing compares to the Virgin Cafe Hoto Choco at Hakuba.

sorry Mr Emperor sir. I must have imagined reading "apres" forum up the top of the page, but if it's any consolation, it's so close to the slope you could drink it on your board without unstrapping your booties or having to hitch your pants up from all your awesome shredding (if you had any friends willing to go and get it for you...which you might not do on a powder day seeing as you are so "core").

hmmmm Bear, I might have to make the 9 hour flight to test your theory :D

hmmn that hoto choco was damn good but i had to add about 10 milk tubs to it to dilute it!

its more like drinking liquid chocolate.. and not as enjoyable as a drinkable hoto choco... but still yum.. just not the same category

the hakuba one Officer, or the pretty valley one?

I like the pretty valley one, if I want to eat chocolate, I'll have a block...... ;)

Nah I was being serious. So where is the forum to talk about shreding and stuff? Some of us push ourselves to the limits on the slopes, not just amble down and have hot chocolates. ;) graemlins/emoticon_skier.gif

We all push ourselves to the limits on the slopes; we might just have different limits ;)

Always happy to see new pics or vids of people doing stuff.. *hint* :D

I wouldn't call it the best but having a hard day's ski at Steamboat and coming down to the base and finding unexpectedly a free hot chocolate on offer was very nice. You also could go a hot apple cider if you wanted.
