Easy 30cm in at my place, where there are three steps, to a walkway, they have disappeared and there is just snow with no showing of the stairs.
Balconey has snow too, even on my chairs which are so far under cover!
White morning!

morning all. Wise man once told me not to hit the cans hard on a school night. Why didn't i listen?
Only way to guarantee lots of snow is to get so ridiculous drunk the night before that you can't physically make it up the mountain.
Whenever I travel overseas with mates, we generally have someone taking a hit (or in this case, copious amounts of shots) for the team.

OMG! I cant believe how deep it was, I even skied the ...... and it was knee deep, so I repeated as the queues got huge with Kozi and Cruiser chairs on windhold and most of the tbars.
So me, myself, I went up Merrits and down again in the powder. Best dry snow of the year and heaps of windblown. No rocks, trees, branches etc, nada!
First run I did for Ozgirl, and it was like a virgin! Oooh! Turned right off the Snowgums chair, no one else was going that way, no one had been, passed the poor guy digging out Black Sallees, he was not hip deep, not waist deep, but rib deep. Had to stop twice as the wind was whipping up snow and blowing more into where I was skiing - no definition in the open sections. Bushranger was sweet, and the falls have heaps of snow. And did I stop for a photo? NO, sorry forgot, just got carried away as I was by myself. Just got earlier photos of the village.
The snow through this section was windblown and had filled in so much that there was no ice, rocks nada showing.
Ok so now I am in and I can remember the fab runs, have a sore lower back and am enjoying the memory.
Kozi chair has been on a promise all morning, but the long slow rides are a bit cold now as you have to wait in a queue for too long and get cold if you want Snowgums - which is also getting bucketted around by the winds.
They seem to be running the Kozi cables but very slowly. Winds are still huge!
Photos coming.

I am already jealous skijacski & will be even more envious when you post photos.
Also looking forward to spaz's video of his first run of the day.
Just remember all of us stuck in an office or at work while you guys get to play in boot/knee deep aussie pow. graemlins/snow_cool.gif
Somehow today I lost my rhythm and was caught up in the crowds. Did one run from G'barrel to VT and then decided to wait for Kosci or tomoz (video coming). At least I had the forethought to hand a camera to ski patrol, that should provide a new perspective.
Off to lunch with the family.
Oh, it's still snowing. graemlins/snow.gif

Remember that tree line we went into off South Ramshead - the snow was about 200% better than that! And deep - should be absolutely skiriffic tomorrow!

You were a gumby today!
You will have to use words to describe the snow now!
Nice video though, shows how much snow there is now.
How sweet was the village trail track! Groomers, lovely snow, first up, with dusting on top.
Here is a question though, what is it with Kozi chair running and only allowing patrol up? Been doing that for some time now, don't think I would be too happy if I was waiting to hop onto Kozi chair.

Snow was good, wind was feral! Felt like we were entering hell every time we came up to the top of any centre valley t bar. Telemark was better but not much pitch, and the line was huge, and it looked like you couldn't see anything at sun valley or further out, so we didn't venture out there.

Kozi chair started up for the public after 2.30pm, the wind must have dropped enough for the public or patrol felt that the avi risk was high and needed to check skier/boarder safety. ;)
